Dr O'Toole's appointment as Chair of the AFOEM QLD Regional Committee

Please join us in congratulating Dr Sid O'Toole, Occupational and Environmental Physician (OEP), who has recently been appointed to the position of Chair of the AFOEM QLD Regional Committee.

When we asked Dr O'Toole about his new and exciting position, he stated:

“The acknowledgement of an Occupational & Environmental Physician as the expert in causation, injury management, and return to work continues to grow, and in this new role I look forward to working with industry groups, workforce representatives, GPs and workers to better understand the benefits we bring to the table. I am also passionate about increasing the understanding of the ‘environmental’ component of our role, providing evidence based and rational risk advice regarding exposures commonly seen in the environment such as asbestos, mould, soil contamination, radiation and water contamination.”
